Mr. Snowman craft

This Wednesday at mutual, we were being festive and made snowmen/women out of cans.

First step: Paint the can white and let it dry.

Step two: Take a sponge and put some paint on it and sponge the can...if that's the right verb...

Step three: Hot glue a red button in the middle...or wherever you would like to place your snow person's nose (Tip: put the hot glue on the can rather than the button. It significantly decreases your chance of being burned :) ) Now is the chance to decide if you want to be able to use this as something to store. If you want it to be able to hold stuff, the open part of the can should face up. if not, then the open part can face down.

Step four: Draw eyes!! I would first use a pencil just in case you want to change the shape. Then when you love the shape of the eyes, draw and color in with a Sharpie. If you would like the white spots like on mine, then you have to allow the eyes to dry then put a pencil tip in your white paint and use it.

Step five: Mix some red paint with white. Then sponge on your cheeks. Allow them to dry.

Step six: Use your pencil to draw a smile then outline with your Sharpie.

Step seven: The hat!! Its a big square of felt and then you fold it up as much as you want (but I reccomend not to fold it up too much) then hot glue it! Fit it onto your snowman's head then hot glue the ends of the hat. Note: Do NOT hot glue the hat onto the snowman. Only hot glue on the felt. I used the fake straw as my tie.

Step eight: The scarf!! Decide which fabric you would like and then make a scarf and put it on!

Step nine: Decorations. I didn't put anything on because mine is masculine and it has a kiss mark on the cheek instead. ;) Some girls in my class placed some decor on the hats. Be open minded and it will look great!

Step ten: Show your work, like I am!!
