So a little while ago, at our January stake youth activity, Sister Vaughn pulled me aside and asked if I wanted to be on Youth Committee. OF COURSE I DID!! I love helping out and being able to help with deciding what we are going to do is icing on the cake! So that Sunday, I got to go to the meeting and talk about next month's stake acitvity- an after Valentine's Day dance. Haha not really, but the third Saturday happened to fall after Valentine's Day. So they had previously planned that the theme was going to be kind of hearts-y and valentine-y but more around dating and etiquette. So I had no idea what I was going to do for the decorations on the wall, for table cloths, for the dancefloor and most importantly-center pieces.
I was genuinely concerned so I looked up ideas. One website suggested to place teddybears all around the room. I immediately started brainstorming and thought, "Hey, why don't we just use teddybears as the centerpieces??" The more I thought about it, the more excited I got. I was inspired that the teddybears could be holding hearts that have messages on them that reflect dating and being married. For example, "Oh you're 19? Call me in two years." well, that one may be considered rude. Maybe, "I love you for eternity and back." or "Girls <3 R.M.'s" or "Meet me at the temple." well, that one could be a little serious for the dance...haha do you have any ideas?
Any-who. Here's some bears that I found around my house. Do you like them? Do you consider this a good idea for a centerpiece?

This is Julie's. Its a legit Valentine's Day teddybear. Julie made sure that I had her look like a girl.

Janelle's teddybear that my our grandma gave her. My grandma called them our reading budies so we could hold them while we read.

This one is mine. Paddington is his name, and I find him so adorable, especially because it seems like he's smiling!

This one is another one of Julie's. He's an awkward bear because he has like a wire frame in his body and his feet twist in weird angles.

Hehehe this one is Russell's bear. Convieneintly, his name is also Russell. In order to allow me to borrow him, Russell had one request-make sure he looks handsome. :D I did my best to.

This one I got at Carowinds. She's pinky and she kinda reminds me of happiness :)
